Registration Steps

Summer ice is at Juan de Fuca Arena located at the
WestShore Recreation Center. 

Please register your skater for the program/ group
presently skating unless your primary coach has notified you
with any changes.

ALL skaters in Groups B,C,D MUST have a primary
coach. NO Exceptions.

The ‘FUN’damentals summer program is for beginner skaters
who are looking to improve their skating skills. This is not a
program for those who are brand new to skating.

Please note:
Skaters MUST have their own skates, gloves and a CSA
approved helmet
(bike helmets not allowed).We have a few
helmets that can be borrowed at the start each session and
returned at the end of the lesson. However, we do
recommend all skaters have their own helmets.

MANDATORY requirements for the ‘FUN’damental summer
MUST be the age of 5 as of July 1, 2024.
MUST have passed Pre CanSkate (yellow ribbon), OR be able
to get up after falling with no on ice assistance.
For saftey reasons skaters will not be permitted on the ice
unless the above requirements are met.

The GROUP A (Pre-Star program):
Is by invitation only.
If your skater has been in this program March to May 2024
they may register again for summer.
For those who have just done the invite to try this session
you will have received an email confirming what program to
register for.

Non-JDFSC members, please email to ensure you register
for the correct program.


FULL package registration will open at 6am, Saturday,
May 25 and will close on Friday, May 31 at 11:59pm


WEEKLY package registration will open at 6am,
Saturday, June 1 and will close on Saturday, June 7 at


DAILY registration, space permitting, will open after
June 8


A 10% Sibling Discount is offered to skaters in the
same family. The discount applies to those who are
registered for the main camp Full Package (all 5
weeks). Discount is not applied to Excel Ice.


Excel Ice - Additional ice time offered in August for
Groups B, C and D: Aug. 6 - 9 & Aug. 12 - 14.


Refunds and/or change of programs will be considered
up until a week prior to the start of a program, however,
there will be an administration fee of $15. Please note
that the Skate Canada Membership Fee is a NON-
REFUNDABLE fee and thus there will be no
reimbursement of this part of an invoice. No refunds
will be issued after the first day of skating (July 2, 2024)
unless there are medical circumstances. All requests
for medical refunds must be submitted to and accompanying
documents may be required.

The $58.65 annual Skate Canada fee would be added to the
new members.(Sept 1, 2023 to Aug 31, 2024)
