Here program assistants will be able to find information discussed at the JDFSC PA Training Clinic, and information on PA events/ opportunities throughout the year.

PA Training

Saturday Sept 9, 2023

8:30am - check in at JDF arena lobby table

9:00 - 10:00 am - off-ice prep work and training

10:15 - 11:50am - on ice training

 

*More information to be sent out by Miss Annaliese regarding this training.  Please note All PA's and PA's in training must attend this yearly training session in order to volunteer on the Canskate sessions.  We look forward to another great season with you!

Who are Program Assistants?

 

An amazing group of volunteers who help run the CanSkate program both on and off the ice. They do their best to be energetic and enthusiastic in their teaching. As a group, the program assistants are dedicated to teach good quality skating skills in a fun and creative way to young skaters.

Scholarship For High School Graduates

 

Attention JDFSC Skaters who are graduating from High School this year.

If you would like to be the recipient of one of our scholarships please
apply no later than March 13th.

To be eligible you must be a JDFSC Skater and have volunteered
as a PA (Program Assistant ) with our CanSkate program for two
consecutive years leading up to Grade 12 Graduation.

You must also be continuing onto post-secondary school or another trade school.

Please submit your short essay about what being part of the JDF community has meant to you and what your plans are for the future.
