Welcome back to the rink. All sessions have started back up this week and we couldn’t be happier to see all the smiling faces zipping around the ice. As we bring in the New Year we want to reflect on all the success we had in 2022.
It was wonderful to have in-person competitions and be able to put on the summer showcase and holiday gala events. It was almost as if life was back to pre-Covid times!
The end of 2022 saw three of our skaters earn the titles of “Champion of the Vancouver Island Region” when they all scored the highest in their respective categories at the BC Sectional Championships.

We had a very busy fall with several competitions and so many personal bests and medals brought home. We couldn’t be prouder of all of our skaters. Their dedication to this sport truly shows when they shine on the ice.
The start to 2023 is going to be just as busy. Madison Simoneau will be heading off to Regina, Saskatchewan to compete in the SkateCanada Pre-Novice and Novice Challenge. This is very exciting for her and our club. We‘ll all be cheering her on from Victoria!
Our youth and adult synchronized skating teams are heading over to the mainland to compete in the Mountain Regional Synchronized Skating Championships. They have been working hard since September to learn elements and routines to be able to enter this competition. We wish them good luck.
