The first weekend of February the Juan de Fuca Skating Club had forty figure skaters take to the ice to compete in the Vancouver Island Regional Championships held in Nanaimo.
We had skaters competing in events from Star 1 all the way up to Women's Gold. Our youth synchro team also competed for their second time in just three weeks. They earned a silver for their Star 3 elements. Below you will see a list of results. We brought home 17 medals and we couldn't be prouder.

We also wanted to recognize Madison Simoneau for qualifying for the Skate Canada Pre-Novice/Novice Challenge in Saskatchewan in January. This was a great experience for her and we can't wait to see where she goes next. Great job Madison!
