Fall & Winter Schedule
2023/2024

Registration Open

Group A is a mandatory 2 day per week program, so if they cannot skate on both days (Mon & Thurs) they should register for Canskate in Fall/Winter. 

​

Please note that for CanSkate you may only register for 1 day. A waitlist will then be taken and if there is space you will be notified that you can register your skater for more days.

“Please register for the same group level you are currently in. A JDFSC coach will contact
you directly if you are to register for a different group level.”

Notes:

  • Dates/Times subject to change

  • All sessions taught by certified Skate Canada Coaches.

  • You must provide your own helmets & skates.

  • We require CSA approved helmets, no bike helmets.

  • No rentals are available. 

  • Check website and social media for last minute scheduling changes.

  • *Indicates session is taught by a coach.

CanSkate Fall Sessions 

  • Starts Monday Sept 18, Thursday Sept 21, Saturday Sept 23, 2023.  

  • End Thursday Dec 21, 2023

Registration for winter sessions (Jan-Mar 2024) for CanSkate will be offered late fall.

 

No Skating Dates:

  • Sunday Oct 8, 2023 - Thanksgiving

  • Tuesday Oct 31, 2023 - Hallowe'en

  • Thursday Nov 9 & Fri Nov 10, 2023 - Hockey Tournament 

  • Saturday Nov 11, 2023 - Remembrance Day

  • Friday Dec 15 to Wed Dec 20, 2023 - Winter Wonderland JDF Arena

  • Saturday Dec 23 to Saturday Jan 6, 2024 - Holiday break

  • Friday Jan 19 & Sat Jan 20, 2024 - Pacific Cup hockey tournament

  • Sunday Jan 21, 2024 - revised schedule

             - Start time 4:00pm therefore NO Group B/kids Synchro session this day

  • Monday Feb 19, 2024 - Family Day

  • Sunday March 24, 2024 – Last Day of JDFSC Winter Ice Schedule

 

Star 6 to Gold "Tentative" Assessment dates:

  • Sunday Dec 3, 2023

  • Sunday Mar 3, 2024

 

Fundraising:

  • Bottle Drive TBA

  • Stay tuned about Purdy’s Chocolates, Salad Dressing & Okanagan Apple Fundraisers

 

Santa Clause Parade:

  • Saturday November 25th We will need help decorating the float and encourage skaters and family to come and walk the parade route with us.
