Santa Light Parade
On Saturday November 27,2021:
JDFSC has entered a float in the 39th Peninsula Co-op Santa Light Parade this year. It is a wonderful community event that we have been fortunate to participate in for many years.
Help us to decorate our club float and then walk with us in the parade. All JDFSC skaters AND parents are welcome to participate!!
The following information needed for our members:
Float Decorating on Nov. 27th
at 1:00pm @ 3445 Hopwood Place
JDFSC will be decorating the float at 1:00pm on Sat. Nov 27th after Canskate and we are hoping all our PA's and PA buddies along with many more club members will help with this.
Marshalling for JDFSC:
Entry # B24
- Participants have been instructed to arrive by 4:00pm -
Parade starts at 5:30pm
Meeting location : our float will be behind Monk Office Supply on Government Street between Belleville and Superior
Drop off and parking lot Q (Menzies and Kingston) and they are asking us to carpool as it will be very busy downtown and may take longer than normal due to traffic and parking availability. Suggestion to park near the end of the parade route and walk.
Parade Route:
Parade will run along Government Street to Pembroke Street where everyone
will be directed to disperse
Participating in the Parade:
All skaters participating MUST have a parent/guardian walking with us for the parade as we do not have a meeting place at the end of the parade to wait for pick up. Dispersing is very quick as they try to have all participants leave the area quickly. The younger children may ride on the float (space permitting) and all others will walk behind the float with parents and coaches.
Please dress warmly but also wear festive clothing and attire, i.e. Santa hats, reindeer antlers, elf hats, light up lights, Christmas sweaters. etc...
You can also wear your club jacket!!

There will be food trucks on Belleville and Government
They are raising donations for the Food Banks and Toys for the children at Victoria General and Jeneece Place. Participants are asked to bring one new unwrapped toy or cash for food and they will collect at the start of the parade.
What a wonderful event for JDFSC members!
We look forward to seeing everyone there :)
